The mind behind the development of this platform

‘Structural Stalwarts’ has been an architecturally

passionate structural engineer Daniel Koothoor.

​

    Daniel Koothoor recently graduated from the

Master’s Program in Structural Engineering from

UC San Diego and has completed his Bachelor’s in

Civil Engineering from V.J.T.I., Mumbai. He is

currently employed as an Assistant Project Engineer

at Biggs Cardosa Associates Inc. in California.

    He will soon be completing one year of joining the Structural Engineering industry and is avidly looking forward to being part of some of the challenging design projects in the coming years.  His role models who drive him in growing into this profession include the likes of Ron Klemencic from MKA, Leonard Joseph of Thornton Tomasetti, William Baker of SOM and Ibbi Almufti from Arup.

 

    His major inspiration behind the development of this platform has been the insights he gains from Ashraf Habibullah, the founder of CSI. He completely believes over Ashraf’s ideology of how ‘Structural Engineering is truly a gift to humanity’ and is very proud of being a part of the Structural Engineering community himself. With this platform, Daniel would also want to share some of his insights on a few pressings issues found in our professions and try to make his contribution towards bringing some beneficial changes in our profession.
